Fall Colours

Ma maîtrise en direction musicale à l'Université de Victoria continue bon train. En septembre commençait ma deuxième année dans ce programme sous la tutelle du professeur Gerald King. Je vais donc faire partie des concerts de l'orchestre à vent, diriger un récital de musique de chambre et développer un projet alliant l'électronique et l'acoustique.
Tout comme l'an dernier, je vais être sur le podium pour au moins une pièce lors de chaque concert de l'orchestre à vent de l'UVic. Pour le premier concert (Fall Colours ou Couleures d'Automne), je vais diriger A Festival Prelude du compositeur Alfred Reed. Le programme musical contient également des pièces de J. S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Julie Giroux, Eric Whitacre et Pascal Perez Chovi.
Le concert aura lieu à l'auditorium Farquhar de l'Université de Victoria et sera diffusé en direct sur le web ici, vendredi le 16 octobre prochain à 20h (Heure du Pacifique) ou 23h (Heure de l'Est).
My masters degree in conducting at the University of Victoria continues full on. In september I was starting my second year in the program under the tutelage of professor Gerald King. And so I will be part of the Wind Symphony concert, I'll conduct a chamber music recital and I'll develop a project combining electronic and acoustic.
Just as last year, I'll be on the podium for at least one piece of music during each UVic Wind Symphony concert. For the first (Fall Colours), I'll be conducting A Festival Prelude from composer Alfred Reed. The musical program is composed of pieces from J. S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Julie Giroux, Eric Whitacre and Pascal Perez Chovi.
The concert will take place at the Farquhar Auditorium of the University of Victoria and will also be broadcasted on the web here Friday, October 16 at 8 pm (PST) or 11 pm (EST).
